18. Ant-Man and The Wasp

This is the first of a few Marvel films on my list, and don’t let its position on this list fool you.

Ant-Man and The Wasp are perhaps my personal favorite heros. Paul Rudd will always be Ant-Man and is quite literally the best choice to play the part. Don’t even get me started on Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp (She absolutely kills it!).

Though the lowest Marvel film on my list, I consider it to be the funniest. Michael Peña being hands down my favorite comedic timing. Some of my favorite lines include “Who are you and why do you know so much about car wash protocol?” “You put the dime in you gotta listen to the whole jukebox.” And “This is truth serum.”

Small details like the fact Paul Rudd actually learned close up magic for the movie to make it more realistic on camera, the different expressions Ghost creates for just frames of her phasing shadow, or even just Wasp sliding on salt when she’s tiny just make the film seem even greater.

I absolutely love this film, the story being light and non life threatening, and just having a solid happy ending. This is a film to watch if you want to feel good and laugh a little bit.
